London, 17 February 2015 — Electric Ray, the independent production company set up by Karl Warner and Meredith Chambers, has appointed Shaun Parry to the new post of Creative Director, Entertainment.
Parry will help oversee Electric Ray’s slate of entertainment programmes as well as the producer’s development team, which is charged with creating new formats for the international market. He will take up the role at the end of March and report directly to Warner and Chambers, Electric Ray’s Managing Directors.
Announcing the appointment, Karl Warner said: “We're incredibly lucky to have Shaun join the team. He is one of the most original and passionate creatives I have worked with and will help us to continue to bring the best of Factual and Entertainment together.”
Parry joins Electric Ray from Endemol where he was Head of Entertainment and involved in creating formats such as the BBC hit Pointless, ITV’s The Whole 19 Yards as well as creating and executive producing a wide range of factual entertainment formats. Parry has also held development posts at Silver River, RDF and the BBC.  
Shaun Parry said: “Karl and Meredith have hit the ground running over the past 12 months and I am hugely looking forward to joining the team at such an exciting time, to help establish Electric Ray as one of the UK’s leading producers of Factual and Entertainment content.”
Electric Ray is currently in production with a number of shows including BBC1 Saturday night gameshow Prized Apart and Salford Dreams United (w/t), a three part access documentary about five ex Manchester United stars attempting to take local Salford City F.C. out of the Evostick league.
