Cannes, 8 October 2013: Sony Pictures Television Arabia (SPT Arabia) has confirmed deals with three major broadcasters across the region to produce the first Arabic version of the entertainment format The Winner Is...
Pan-regional satellite channel Dubai TV, Egyptian channel Al Hayat and the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International (LBCI) have all commissioned SPT Arabia to produce an Arabic version of the Talpa-owned format. SPT Arabia, which represents Talpa in the region, will produce 14 episodes of the debut season, including two live episodes, airing on all three broadcasters. 
The Winner Is... allows contestants to use their vocal talents to win big cash prizes through a series of nerve-wracking duels in front of a celebrity singer and a panel of 100 music experts. Each week the sensational singers battle it out to win instant cash prizes and the chance to go through to the next round and ultimately bag a life changing amount of money.

SPT Arabia produced the first ever The Voice Arabia which last year which brought in 100 million viewers each week for MBC and is now in production for a second season. Also on SPT Arabia’s 2013 entertainment slate has been Sing It for Lebanon’s Future TV; a 26-ep run of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? spin-off Millionaire Hot Seat for Dubai TV; 120 episodes of gameshow Lets Make A Deal for Al Hayat and SPT’s original talkshow, Ana Wel Assal, which it produced live every day during Ramadan for Al Hayat and LBC. 
SPT Arabia has also made successful local versions of formats such as Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune and Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and is developing an Arabic version of scripted drama, Betty La Fea.
