Senior Vice President
Zack Hernandez is senior vice president, western region for Sony Pictures Television (SPT). He oversees all of SPT's distribution efforts in the territory of 57 markets that comprise the western region, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix, Seattle and Denver. He is also responsible for representing SPT with major broadcast groups such as ABC, Raycom, Scripps, Tegna and Tribune. Hernandez also manages all aspects of sales for SPT's theatrical film and library series to all digital multicast networks such as Antenna TV, Bounce, CoziTV, Decades, LAFF and MeTV.
In 2009, Hernandez was named vice president, central region, and relocated to Chicago to manage the sales office. Hernandez joined SPT in 2006 as division manager, western region, where he managed the sales of SPT content to television stations in the western states, including Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.
Prior to joining SPT, Hernandez served as account manager for NBC's owned and operated station in San Diego, KNSD-TV. There, he handled diverse agency and direct business accounts such as Walmart, Coca-Cola, and the San Diego Sports Arena. From 1999 to 2005, he was an account executive for Buena Vista Television, where he was responsible for sales of first-run and off-network product such as LIVE with Regis and Kathy Lee, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and Home Improvement in both the western and mid-western divisions.
Hernandez graduated from California Lutheran University with a BA in marketing communications in 1998.
